POSITION SUMMARY The Executive Chef supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel engaged in preparing and cooking foods. Prepares hot food items and specialty dishes in addition to managing and training cooks and kitchen personnel in a prestigious seven day of week operation. The mandatory meal plan numbers for this University will be 1100 students. JOB FUNCTION · Menu development and planning. · Preparation of budgets and maintaining food costs and other records. · Food preparation, presentation technique, and the establishment of quality standards. · Must requisition and purchase all food products as well as complete food production records and costs menus on a regular basis. · Plan production schedules, ensures maintenance of equipment, and supervises the production line to ensure portion and control, including maximum utilization of employees and equipment. · Ensure compliance to ARAMARK Special Event Days and Seasonal Promotions · Ensure compliance with ARAMARK Policies and Procedures · Ensures that all government legislation is adhered to, including but not limited to Food Safety and Sanitation, Occupational Health and Safety, Workers Compensation, Employment Standards, Human Rights and Labour Laws. · Communicate with clients QUALIFICATIONS § A minimum of two years experience in a similar position. § Exposure to university board plans would be a definite asset § Bachelor degree or related culinary diploma is required an asset § Knowledge of high-end catering § Strong background and knowledge in Food and Beverage Management. § Proven ability to plan and organize events effectively, possess a highly developed attention to detail. § Assertive, professional and positive, with an ability to lead in a stressful environment. § Advanced communication skills click on the apply link below to apply to this job.
