Field Mechanic
Status: Full Time, Employee Job Location: Taber, AB T1G1X1 The Taber Field Shop has an opening for a full-time Field Mechanic. Qualifications shall include but not be limited to the following: 1. 10 years experience working on harvesting equipment 2. Ability to work nights and weekends for the entire harvest season 3. Ability to operate harvesting equipment 4. Have thorough knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures for harvesting equipment 5. Have the ability to work without supervision 6. Have applicable tools to do maintenance on harvesting equipment 7. Proven ability to act as lead hand during harvest season 8. Thorough knowledge of vegetable harvest procedures 9. Candidates currently enrolled in a recognized Province of Alberta apprenticeship program leading to a trade certification, as a heavy-duty mechanic will be considered. Apprenticeships must be completed. 10.
